Apoptosi come from Bergamo and are part of a new, vital wave of punk energy currently spreading across Italy. Active since February 2023, the band began as a grindcore project before rapidly evolving into a fierce punk hardcore sound, already clearly defined on their debut EP “Verso un futuro di completa anestesia” (April 2023).
Released digitally in April 2025, “Per Tutto Il Male Che Avete Fatto” marks a further step forward in the band’s sonic identity. The record pushes deeper into d-beat territory, drawing heavily from ’80s Italian hardcore and crust punk, with clear influences from Skitsystem, Wolfbrigade and Kontatto.
The release reflects a growing awareness of the world around them. The cover was handmade by Fil in full ’80s cut and paste spirit. It exposes four responsible and offers no answers to the harm done and reflected in their eyes: state violence, state control, animal abuse and environmental destruction. The cover stands as both artwork and political act, seen through the eyes of a handful of young souls still searching for reasons, both on an individual and collective level.
The anger expressed here is direct, raw and unfiltered, rooted in the frustration of watching spaces, ideas and anything once considered authentic being stripped of meaning, neutralized, or turned into commodities once they become acceptable or fashionable.
Lyrically, the record portrays a world that feels increasingly passive and anesthetized, resigned to daily decay while hiding behind empty myths, symbols and narratives (past and present) that no longer carry real substance. Themes of indifference and the consequences of quiet comfort run throughout the record.
“Per Tutto Il Male Che Avete Fatto” stands as a blunt statement: uncompromising, unapologetic and unwilling to be made harmless.
